A Non-Profit Organization

The Quintuplet Foundation is dedicated to providing support to families who have found that they were pregnant with multiple babies, and have decided not to terminate or "reduce" one or more of them. We always support the decision to protect life no matter what the obstacles.

Nearly 10% of couples today are not able to have a baby on their own. They either need to have fertility treatment, or they can adopt. Fertility treatments can be very effective for many. However, couples have always faced a double-edged risk. On one hand, the high-cost procedures can easily fail to result in a pregnancy. On the other hand, they can work so well that multiple pregnancies result.

When a mother becomes pregnant with multiple embryos, the risks are enormous. Without close medical supervision, a multiple pregnancy can kill the mother. More commonly, however, the babies struggle to survive. Every set of quintuplets - even the vast majority of triplets and quads - requires intensive care at birth. The surviving babies are often left with permanent health problems.

But choosing to “reduce” the number of embryos is also a tragedy. Some couples choose life for their babies, and we support them in their decision. We recognize that giving birth to multiple babies is a risk and a challenge. The Quintuplet Foundation is organized to help these couples face that challenge. We support their choice of life.

We operate in Washington State, and currently support two multiple-birth families:

The Stevenson Quintuplets of Poulsbo, Washington were born in March of 2006

The Hathaway Quintuplets of Pullman, Washington were born in October of 2006

The Quintuplet Foundation assisted the Stevenson family build their home, and the Hathaway family to remodel their basement. Click to learn more.
